Blue Man Group at Universal seeks a part-time Video technician. This person should have at least 3 years experience as a Live Video technician in a theatrical and/or rock and roll environment.
S/he should have a background as a DMX-controlled media server technician and operator with extensive experience on Hippotizer media servers. Programming experience is a plus.
3+ years experience with LED video walls assembly and maintenance.
3+ years technician experience with live video including, but not limited to: signal routing, system troubleshooting, network maintenance, projection alignment and projector maintenance.
Strong knowledge of digital and analog camera systems with experience as a hand-held camera operator.
Shop skills including but not limited to: soldering, cable termination, repair, and maintenance.
The ideal candidate is a self starter who adapts well to new and unfamiliar technologies, has an inherent curiosity and a willingness to expand their skill set.
This position also works with the Electrics department and may be asked to assist the Electric Lead from time to time with specific duties. Flexibility required as schedule fluctuates with the theme park seasons.
